The Huntting Inn

The Hampton Jitney (and its luxury sister The Ambassador) is a greyhound style bus that travels from the east side of Manhattan to the Hamptons.

The Long Island Railroad runs from Penn Station and Grand Central Station in Manhattan. The most convenient stops to Sag Harbor are Bridgehampton and East Hampton. The "Cannonball Express" leaves at 4:07 from Track 19 of Penn Station and skips all Long Island stops before Westhampton.

Founded in 1846, this is the longest continually operating hotel in the United States. A premiere wine list anchors its landmark restaurant on Main Street in Sag Harbor.

Wolffer Estate

Located in Sagaponack (a short drive from both Sag Harbor and East Hampton), Wolffer is the East End's most commercially successful Vineyard. Enjoy a flight at the main Estate or the roadside Wine Stand.

Sagaponack General Store

A 2025 addition to the Hamptons map, Sagaponack General Store is a quaint (but high-end) market for sandwiches, coffee and housewares.

An upscale Italian trattoria with 3 large TVs playing sports, right on Newtown Lane in East Hampton.

Long House Reserve

Previously a private estate with a rare outdoor art collection amidst beautifully landscaped grounds and a koi pond, the property was bequeathed by its late owner and is now open to the public. The extraordinary collection includes famed modern artists, including Ai Wei Wei.

Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum

Built in 1845 as the private estate of whaling magnate Benjamin Huntting II, the estate is currently part Masonic Lodge and part whaling museum. Sag Harbor, once the port of entry to the United States during the 17th century, was a famed whaling town and was even featured in Moby Dick. The museum is right in town and a great stop if going on a stroll down Main Street.

Reception at Le BilboquetWe request cocktail attire, which has historically meant suit and tie for men. In more recent years, it has included a blazer and dress slacks.Men should wear a jacket at a minimum. Women will wear dresses from cocktail to full length to a pant suit.Jeans are not appropriate.If you are in doubt, fear not. The Fashion Police at the door will judge shrewdly.Morning TennisThe East Hampton Tennis Club requires Tennis Whites. Tennis shoes must be at least 50% white. The tennis kit must be 90% white allowing for a logo and minor trim. We do not want this to be a gating factor. Cheap and cheerful tennis whites can be found on Amazon on a moments notice and the club has a club house with minimalist options in a pinch.All other events are casual.
